Southern Charm

I am a bit obsessed with everything Southern…the accents, the hospitality, and the show Southern Charm (my guilty pleasure!). But really there is a certain charm about places like Charleston and the classic lady-like styles that is so indicative of the South. In another life, I totally would be a Southern girl – sweet, sassy and stylish like Reese Witherspoon.

I was so excited about the launch of her clothing line, Draper James, and pretty much fell in love with everything. This season’s collection brought out all the best prints and textures – lace, gingham, scallops and everything that screams femininity and class. The brand’s dresses, romper and skirts are the best styles for a luncheon by the ocean, an afternoon picnic in the gardens or brunch with friends.

I instantly fell in love with this seersucker shirtdress dress. It wears so effortlessly and has pockets (my favorite!). I especially love the lace detail on the sleeve and collar. I love this dress for bridal showers or even just a Sunday at church with the family.
