Ocean Blues

Some days I just want to wear a dress and frolick around on the beach.  Anyone else? No?  Just me then.

What I’m Wearing:
!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); e.id = id; p = ‘//shopsensewidget.shopstyle.com/widget-script.js’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’);
I love flowy dresses like this. It reminds me of the show Mistresses on ABC during last season’s opening when all the main characters were in beautiful and breezy glamour dresses on the beach. I think I could wear this lounging on the beach in Hawaii or to a fun summer wedding.  Maybe both!  And its under $25 from Shein.  Total score!
On a more personal note, I was inspired by OC Lydia‘s (great name by the way!) blog post on The Power of Now.  I have felt that same struggle lately.  As this blog grows, I feel more pressure to maintain its progress.  But I’m a wife, a mom and I also work full-time so it’s been a challenge to juggle everything and be truly present in every moment.  I’m constantly thinking about what’s next on the to-do list.  Consistently, my sleep cycle lasts only about 5-6 hours every night the last few months – late nights to blog and early mornings to hang with Baby J before I go into the office.  Some days I just want to throw my hands up and surrender the craziness, become a stay-at-home mom and focus on just one thing important, my family. Then other days, I want to take on more, hungry for personal fulfillment…which I guess in turn might make me a better wife and mom.  I don’t have all the answers, but I do know that I need to slow down some days and enjoy these moments with all my special people.  Baby J will be ONE soon and I only have about 3 more months before “year” is permanently fixed in his age.  He’ll start to walk soon so it’ll be mere weeks before his independence leaps to another milestone.  I need to enjoy today and every moment, surrender to God and remember Psalms 55:22 – “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you.  He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”
Hope you have a wonderful day!
xo, Lydia

    I absolutely love how the blue dress flows in the wind . . . just like the waves of the ocean dancing along the seashore. Very beautiful, love your style <3
