Back to School Mom Style

The other day at school drop off, a mom told me (with a surprised look on her face) she didn’t even know I was pregnant this whole time!  That day I was headed to a meeting so I was dressed appropriately.  When she said that, I immediately I thought probably because I’m usually a bit more “casual and wear looser clothing”.  Read: I’m usually wear sweats and look homeless.

It got my thinking…its actually not that hard to actually look decent at school drop.  I know wrangling little ones in the morning is feat on its own (and even more so if you have multiple) but when it comes to taking care of your mama style, just have to stick to the basics – comfy dress and layers.

My go-tos for quick and comfortable style is a dress, usually form-fitting but stretchy, and either a vest or cardigan.  Add a pair of flat mules or sneakers and I’m good to go.  Do a low heel sandal if you’re feeling fancy!  Once it gets cooler, I’ll probably swap the flats for boots/booties and top off with a scarf.

Luckily for me, I own this stripe dress and tan vest in multiple versions….so my whole week is set! 🙂
