How my bump style has changed

Like the first time around, I find styling my bump to be challenging.  I think it is pretty common to be discontent with everything when you’re preggers, right? My body is constantly changing so what fit yesterday might fit a bit differently today.  And to top it off, I feel like I am constantly over heating and sweating.  It is definitely not so glam over here!  What has remained constant from pregnancy to pregnancy, though, is my affinity for comfort.

With comfort being my main focus, I do feel like I have evolved certain aspects of my style somewhat since I was pregnant with Jaxson. For one, I love classic colors now over prints.  I am trying to invest in things that I can wear after pregnancy, and basics and neutral colors are always in style.

Also, I lean towards more fitted, structured silhouettes this time to accentuate my shape vs. the more casual fit.  I am realizing that body hugging dresses doesn’t always mean uncomfortable.  In fact, most of the time they are the most comfortable to wear.  Hugs everything in the right places, if you know what I mean.  This grey dress by French Connection is one I wear out often.  It is a knit material so great on its own and also with layers.

And lastly, I am paying less attention to trends this time around and sticking to what I know I love.  I guess you could say I am also a bit lazier this time!  But when you find something good, like this suede Moto jacket, you wear it year after year!

What styles are you embracing right now, whether you’re pregnant or just looking forward to the new season?  I’d love to know!
