We made it to hump day. And that means we’re half way to the weekend and we have a legitimate excuse to drink wine. #WineWednesday anyone?
Today, I’m sharing a wine from one of John’s and my favorite French region….Burgundy. It’s been a few years now since I visited the rolling hills of the Cote D’Or and stayed within the gated city of Beaune, but every so often the taste of a Premiere Cru wine and sizzling Beef Burgundy meal take me back. This 2007 Clos De La Chapelle Volnay {you gotta love complicated french names} did just that. Named after one of the most well-known 1er Cru vineyards in region, this wine oozes rich flavors of pomegranate and raspberry. It paired very well with my poor attempt to replicate Rachel Ray’s version of Beef Burgundy. Next time we’re ordering out!
