Wine Country Arrival!

This is the first of my many Wine Country posts.  We had a blast!  It started off rocky and we were starting to regret taking Little J with us, but then it the rest of the trip went smoothly.  Traveling with a super active, super energetic toddler is still no walk in the park no matter when or where, but at least we got plenty of rest the other nights.

Let me rewind.  We arrived in Sonoma the first night at about 10:30pm.  Jaxson was not too happy missing his second nap, traveling through airports and airplanes for the last 5 total hours, and then driving over an hour to get to the hotel.  By the time we got to our room, he was deliriously tired but would not go to sleep.  We normally just lay him down in his crib and he puts himself to sleep within 15 mins, but nope. Not that night.  He cried and cried and cried and made himself puke.  Like projectile everywhere. We had to bring him into our bed, which he’s not use to, so he was ragging to party.  He finally fell asleep at 1:30AM!!!!  And woke up ready to go at 6:30AM when he saw we were right there!!  I was a zombie.
Also it was scorching hot that first full day we were in wine country.  95 degrees!  So it wasn’t the most pleasant but we made the most of it.  Because we were bringing Jaxson, we decided to go to the big wineries with a lot of outdoor space to picnic and for his little feet to run around.  I’ll do a recap of all family friendly wineries in another post.  But first….the outfit!
I was so excited to wear this Wayf dress in Napa. I just envisioned how great the floral design and bright fushcia color would look against the lush vineyards. And I was right!  This dress is light and airy which was great for the heat, and also quite comfortable.  I paired it with wedge shoes but I know it would be great for wedding season with some chic heels.

Outfit Details:

We stayed in Sonoma two nights and Napa two nights. In Sonoma we started at the Renaissance Hotel, and in Napa we stayed at the Silverado Resort. Both great places to stay!
Napa is beautiful in September. You will have a blast!!
