Happy Monday friends. Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was filled with lots of family time, and lots of sale shopping. Have you shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet? Hurry…before I buy everything!!
Seriously though, I bought quite a few things from the #NSale {see everything I purchased here}, and by far my favorite clothing item is this Halogen crewneck sweater with lace sleeves. It was one of the first things that caught my eye as I was browsing the sale pages, and I am so glad I bought it. I have a ton of grey sweaters but its nice to have one or two that are unique. The lace detail just adds so much chic to something so basic as a grey sweater.
This piece can modernize a basic denim look, or a dressed up with a skirt. Here, I wanted to emphasize its versatility with a casual weekend look (what I wore yesterday) and what I would wear to the office.
I love the look of greys against white. This sweater paired with white jeans looks so crisp and clean, and for some reason a classic neutral look gives me so much confidence. Perhaps because the ensemble is eye-catching but understated at the same time. But warning: not ideal for Momlife. 🙂 I added subtle accent pieces likes these white wedges and a grey clutch for an causal but ultra modern look!
For the office, I love this sweater with a good faux leather pleated skirt. The mix of textures adds a little more edge to this look, don’t you think?
