I am super excited for this week. Not for any particle reason but to just catch up on things and get back to our normal routines. When one (or all) of us is sick, it really puts a damper on schedule and sets us back like a whole month. Or so it feels like it. The hubbs is still traveling so much but at least we’re all back to health. Definitely grateful for that.
We did have fun family time this weekend. We caught up with family, had a date night and I even got out with some friends to watch 50 Shades Darker. But literally we were in bed by 9 every night because the last few weeks has been so busy and tiring. I missed the Oscars, but definitely heard all about all the craziness. Poor La La Land!
I last wore this {faux} leather jacket and grey dress combo to the movies on Sunday. A moto jacket one of my favorite pieces to a mix with feminine dresses. I’m constantly reaching for it to throw over everything- classic jeans and tee, or a girly fit & flare dress this one from Nordstrom.
This jacket makes the softer, more basic pieces stand out even more when it’s juxtaposed against something more bold and structured. I have worn it on several occasions and I see no signs of stopping. And best part – it is under $100!
I am also trying new things with my shoe pairings. Typically, you would see me add a classic pump or flats with this outfit. But I decided on a velvet sock bootie for a fun twist. These Steve Madden booties are actually super comfortable and such a great option to incorporate the velvet trend.
