Traveling with Jaxson is never easy. In fact, John always swears we’re never doing it again as soon as we step off the airplane in our home city. While it is SO MUCH easier now that he can survive on just one nap and can be easily distracted with an episode Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, it is hard, tiring and stressful 60% of the time. You saw from my earlier post {here} how our first night went down. The first night is always the toughest. Adjusting to a new environment and exhaustion from travel can make baby, mama and daddy crazy all the same.
I just try to be as prepared as possible, especially when it comes to baby gear…toys, portable seats, bottles…the whole gang comes along! Traveling light is always the goal, but let’s face it, I don’t think I’ve ever traveled light in my life. ha! It is just who I am. 🙂 But when you’re carrying multiple suitcases, a car seat and other necessary carry-ons, you need a saving grace. Fortunately, UPPAbaby to the rescue. This super lightweight umbrella stroller has helped make traveling with a toddler bearable. From the easy collapse motion at gate check to a full recline for naps, the G-LUXE has become our favorite travel companion. Some of my favorite things include:
- SPF 50 Sun shade
- Water and stain resistant fabric – We got it dirty the second it came out of the box, so this helps a ton!
- {Almost} fully recline seat – Great for naps on the go! I’m actually able to do diaper changes in the stroller as well since the seat back gives plenty of room. Obviously not recommended, but it works when you really need it!
- Cupholder – Love that it comes with a beverage holder. I actually don’t understand why most strollers don’t have built in cupholders. I mean, it just seems odd to not have something so simple.
- Super light – Just over 13 lbs., I can carry the stroller and Jaxson at the same time.
- Has a matching with a travel bag (separate purchase) – This stroller was made for busy families on the go!
We are a 6 stroller family {I know! I have a problem}, and I can tell you that none of them beat the UPPAbaby G-LUXE when it comes to utility, convenience and style. It will definitely be coming with us on the the next family adventure!
