The Spring Skirt

The weather has been giving us much needed rain the last couple months, but after each storm, the clouds break through to what feels like the sweetest Spring weather.   So it felt perfect to break out this pink buffalo checked skirt that I was initially saving for the warmer season. It has a super feminine, vintage vibe to it that I love with the fit and flare style, but the blends of pinks is what sold me.  Also, the taffeta material is reminds me of dresses I use to wear as a little girl.  You know…the ones moms would bring out for Easter or Sunday service, and pair with glittery slippers with ankle socks.

I love the statement this skirt makes.  While pink isn’t the the most in your face color, this skirt is a head turner.  So keeping the rest of my look neutral was a no brainer.  I stand by my statement that a trench coat really goes with everything.  This cropped version has literally been paired with everything in my closet this season.  It really brings up this ultra girly skirt to empowered professional level.   Perfect for the week’s meetings!
