If you could only buy one thing this Fall, I say buy the shoes! Specifically, a good pair of over-the-knee boots. They are the season’s favorite trend, versatile and makes a statement all on their own. You could be wearing sweats and look chic with just OTK boots. Ok, maybe not sweats, but I love that they go with basics like leggings and a tee, or a dress (both long and short). The best splurge of them all would be the Stuart Wietzman boots. I really waited and just dreamt about getting them for so long before I finally took the plunge last year. And now I own a few pairs both high and low heeled. It was like once I broke the Stuart Weitzman seal, I just couldn’t stop. ha! But I love them! They fit so well around the calf (usually my problem area with boots) and the suede is super soft and luxe.
Here I’m wearing the Lowlands and my new favorite faux leather leggings by Spanx. Seriously best leggings ever!!! It sucks everything in all the right places and so comfortable. I’m trying to get the burgundy ones too but they’re sold out in my size.
I actually wore this look to church last week. It was cloudy and rainy, and was the best Fall day we’ve had yet. So I took the opportunity to get bundled up with a cozy vest and all!
In other news, the Fall flu is starting its rounds in our family, and hit John as soon as he got back from his biz trip. So now, I’m just trying to keep myself and Little J healthy. And I had some stuff planned for Jaxson’s birthday this week which we may have to cancel. Such a bummer!
Love this look. I would wear the same but black boots and black vest in Toronto a lot when I was in a hurry to run out the door. It's just so classy and easy to pull together, but looks so chic! I love the grey boots. They feel so much lighter. You look gorgeous.
