Sonoma holds a special place in our hearts! It is the place where we got married so its nice to go back every year and relive those special moments. It is so beautiful up here. You hear a lot about Napa, and while different, within a 20-30 minute drive, Sonoma is just as amazing. Aside from the difference in wine and general vibe of this area, Sonoma also has more views of vast rolling hills which I love.
We were in Sonoma for a day in a half, and of course had to stop at our wedding venue, Viansa Winery. Apparently it has undergone new ownership so it looks a little bit different now, but definitely still gorgeous. Viansa is a little Tuscan inspired winery with gorgeous 360 views. There are plenty of outdoor seating and a marketplace where you can buy food and drinks. Its a perfect little stop for picnic! Also, they do fresh pizzas on weekends! We came on a Friday so we were bummed we missed it by a day. At Viansa, we just got a glass of wine, charcuterie and sat outside by the grass so Jaxson could run around. It was the perfect day!
After Viansa, we headed over to Artesa Winery. This was a new one for us. We have never been, and after seeing the place I really don’t know why we’ve never heard about it! It is such a gorgeous place and they have a huge selection of wines including bubbles. I will definitely be back, if not for the wine, the views are amazing. The people there were saying that you can sometimes see San Francisco if the air is clear enough.
We also enjoyed driving around Sonoma. Lots of great views to take in!
As for the outfit – this Eliza J lace dress is summer perfection. They really know how to make the best dresses. Modern and chic designs, and looks great on any body type. I knew I needed this dress to take to wine country. The neutral color complements the rich colors of Sonoma so well. Also, it is a softer, crocheted kind of lace so it is very comfortable for roadtrips and #momlife. 🙂
