Some days I feel like I live at the grocery store. If its not milk and veggies for Jaxson, it is wine and cheese for the husband, and of course, everything else that keeps our house afloat! As busy mom and CHO (Chief Household Officer), I’m always on the lookout for things that will save me money and time. Enter ALDI. When I discovered this little gem of a grocery store, I was in heaven! This discount grocery store just opened all over Southern California, and truthfully it is such a breath of fresh air. We are lucky to have a lot of grocery options in SoCal, but not all of them meet our needs. ALDI has a great selection of everything I stock up on at prices that make you do a double take.
During my visit, I was greeted with smiling faces and the surprisingly with shoppers that looked less stressed. Maybe its because they weren’t frantic trying to find aisle 87 where there are 50 different brands of mozzarella cheeses to choose from. ALDI is compact and probably five times smaller than your usual grocery store. They carry a huge selection ALDI exclusive of private label products, and each location has a limited assortment of products, offering only one or two options of the best quality eggs or ice cream. I love it when I get in and out swiftly since I always have a rambunctious toddler in tow.
I picked up some SimplyNature® organic fruit and veggies, milk and the basic family favorites like cereal and cookies. Jaxson definitely couldn’t leave without this animal crackers….we had to open them right then and there!! I was pleasantly surprised to find organic produce at a discount grocery, but its real! They even have wine! I picked up a few bottles for a dinner party this weekend. Some of my favorite brands were at least $5 cheaper compared to other places. The best deals are marked with “ALDI Finds” so you know you when you scored something good! I even bought a nice bouquet of fresh flowers! Seriously…ALDI has everything!
