I have been going to Brea Mall for as long as I can remember. Since high school maybe, which seems like a lifetime ago. It definitely feels like home! ha. It was my home mall for a very long time and I still love going because its not a mega mall that is far too overwhelming to even find what you need, and yet has all the stores I love for fashion, beauty and things for the boys!
A couple weeks ago, I did a shopping day with the family to get ready for a couple trips and pick up things for Summer in general.
First stop was for skincare! I needed some new travel skincare products so stopped in Kiehl’s to pick up all the essentials. I ended staying a tad longer than I needed to talking one of the beauty associates, Grace. She was so knowledgeable and her skin was flawless, so I basically wanted to pry on all the skin secrets. She mentioned I should do a skin hydration test, which I had never heard of before but was totally on board. I was really interested to know if I should up my moisturizer game. And turns out, I do!! If you’ve never done a hydration test, definitely stop into a Kiehl’s store to do it. It literally took 2 mins and so informative. I left the store with tooo many things…..Creme De Corps, Super Fluid Daily UV Defense sunscreen and even a kids hair/body wash for Jaxson!
Again, I spent a little too much time playing with skincare products so I had to reward Little J with a Build-A-Bear stop! The moment we walked up to the store, he was in heaven. Literally made his day/week/life! He could not wait to play for everything, and was so giddy the whole entire time. I love seeing his face light up smiling ear to ear. We ended up making a dinosaur (his favorite!) and dressing him in an Incredibles tee. The Build-A-Bear associates were so great with him! We are already planning a trip back for his birthday!
Build-A-Bear bought us a few more minutes of shopping so we headed into Tommy Bahama to pick up a few Summer basics for a trip coming up. Dresses for me, and polos and shorts for John. I love when we can shop at the same store, and Tommy Bahama never disappoints when it comes to vacation gear! Just walking in feels like a tropical getaway.
Our last and most important stop was lunch! One of our favorite restaurant is California Pizza Kitchen. There is usually a wait but today, we got so lucky and made it before the lunch rush. I realize that we always order the same things…Thai Crunch salad, BBQ Chicken pizza, Kung Pao Spaghetti, and Mac & cheese for Jax. This time we decided to try their new Power Bowls, which are basically healthier option, packed with veggies an proteins, and now we’re obsessed! The Banh Mi Bowl is a must try, you guys! You won’t be disappointed.
Next time, I’ll be back to Brea Mall sans the family so I can spend a little more time shopping! With shops like Nordstrom, Sephora, Banana Republic and so much more, I literally be there all day!!
