Pink Shorts & Stripes

I’ll just go ahead and say it….I blame J.Crew for stealing all my money. I peruse their new arrivals too many times to count in a week, and just end up getting myself in trouble. When I see anything stripes, it automatically goes in my cart. I don’t think anyone does stripe essentials quite like J.Crew. And when I saw these shorts, I immediately fell in love. I just can’t enough of big bows and the vibrant pink hues.

I wore this look to a birthday brunch last weekend and received so many comments about the pairing of the stripes and bright pink. Something about the mixing of classic stripes and an eye catching piece is appealing and a bit striking. I also love the that ruffled off-the-shoulder top and the big bow creates so many dimensions to this look. It is flirty, fun and feminine. All my favorite F words. 🙂

The shorts run a bit small than usual, so I actually sized up! They sit a little higher on the waister, so my normal size was a bit shorter than I was comfortable with.
