On Saturday, we went down to Irvine Regional Park for some Easter fun! If you’re not familiar with this particular area, it is a historic park in Orange County built on 130 acres! Its huge and quite beautiful. Every year, they throw a big Easter celebration, carnival style, complete with face-painting, pony rides and of course, egg-hunting!
We took Little J this year since he’s actually old enough to run around and enjoy the festivities. And I think he had a blast! We’ll probably be back next year…but, maybe not the day before Easter when the crowds are a little insane.
I included a few other pics of us just playing around that day. Hide & Go Seek is his favorite! He gets so happy and proud when he finds me…its the best thing in the world. I can’t even handle how big he’s getting. His personality is the best – so playful, friendly and such the jokester (just like his daddy!).
As for the outfit, I don’t think I can let Easter go by without pastel color everything. And of course pink is an obsession. Easter weekend is pretty much the kickoff for all things Spring in my book. All the festivities and the happy cotton candy shade of all colors just puts me in a giddy mood. This pink dress from Anthropologie is one of my best Spring finds. The material is soft and the fit relaxed but tailored at the same time. As you can see, the dress is easy enough for me to run around with Little J. It also has pockets!!! Hallelujah! The shape is a little boxy for my body type, but nothing a belt can’t fix. I can definitely see myself wearing it again next weekend with a denim jacket. This pink dress will for sure be in heavy rotation!
Lastly, I’m not usually big on watches. But this Kate Spade piece is so classic and elegant, I had to have it! The black leather straps are bold but somehow works with all my Spring looks so far!
