One of my favorite things to do on weekends is to stop spontaneously at a local park or any fun outdoor (child-friendly) spot and just walk around with John and Little J. Our weekends are usually filled with a lot of driving to see family or friends, and ever since Jax has been able to walk/run, he gets antsy in his car seat. So we make stops here and there to satisfy his wild feet.
On Sunday, we were driving back from Dana Point and stopped at the park near the Newport Beach Civic Center. It is surround by business buildings so it is a bit unexpected to have a big lush park nearby, but the Civic Center actually has a huge lawn and tons of gardens around.
Sundays are always a good excuse to wear a fun dress. This Old Navy paisley print peach dress was begging to be worn by the garden. The fit & flare silhouette is comfortable to chase after Little J. I added added a relaxed cropped white denim jacket since the late afternoons seem to be a bit chilly these days. I know this jacket is going to be my favorite this season for two reasons: 1) I wear cropped jackets and blazers with just about everything, and 2) white is my staple for the season.
Speaking of Little J. He has been so sick the last couple of days. I feel so bad for him. I know he feels achy and is super congested. But he doesn’t have a fever and his energy level is still off the charts!
