I am a big fan of fashion collaborations. When H&M or Target partners with BIG designers, people get crazy! You might have heard that people stood in line for hours when Target x Philip Lim and H&M x Balmain were launched. And 95% of the pieces were sold out within 24 hours or less. I also appreciate when celebrities partner with retailers. It brings a specific style and overall appeal to the stores image, obviously more so if I am a fan of said celebrity.
I am a huge fan of Olivia Palermo. Not the one from The City (on MTV, y’all remember that show?). But the style icon. The effortlessly chic red carpet and street style stunner. She always looks so polished and sophisticated, and often sexy without baring hardly anything at all. I definitely take fashion cues from this woman.
When I heard OP had partnered with Nordstrom’s in-house label Chelsea28, I was already sold even without seeing the pieces. With this mega retailer and style icon behind the project, I knew it would be nothing short of amazing. And I was right! There are so many great pieces that range from classic staple wide leg trousers and leather skirts, to trendy must-haves like the suede sleeveless trench coat and modern bohemian dresses. Something for whatever your style palette is craving.
I knew I had to have this silk off-the-shoulder top. The lace detail and billowy sleeve are what sold me. Not to mention I am absolutely obsessed with OTS anything. But this one was just too pretty not to take home with me. I also love the soft shade of pastel purple. I paired it with an army green tailored pant to keep the colors subtle and overall look polished. This is something I would wear to the office, or a business lunch.
