Some weekends we go to church on Saturdays, which opens up our Sundays to so many possibilities. We no set plans, we usually get out early to grab breakfast and a mini walk somewhere Jaxson can run around in. Around where we live in Orange County, there are plenty of options by the water. We usually stay away from the main piers and broadwalks to avoid the large crowds. There are a few hidden areas where its just mainly locales. These are the best spots in OC in my opinion. As I get older, I’m more…let’s say, impatient with crowds. ha! Feel like I’m complaining about them more like my mom. 😐 I also get more anxious letting Jaxson run around with so many people around, so I try to avoid them as much as possible.
On Sunday, we hung out by a small pier and watched the sail boats go by. Jax loves anything by water so it was such a treat for him. He is such the character. He would fist bump every SINGLE person on the pier and wouldn’t let them off the hook until they did. Some of the older people tried to give him a simple high-five and he was like, no! I died laughing. He’s so persistent…and demanding! I wonder where he gets that from.
For casual Sundays mornings by the coast, I automatically reach for stripes! The classic print is quintessential coastal chic, and its just so effortless. I especially love the pop of red stripes against the sunny blue backdrops. This boatneck tee is from Old Navy, and I loved it so much I bought it in 3 colors!
I always carry a relaxed blazer in my car for chilly overcast mornings. This rich tan color {also from Old Navy} is the perfect piece to bring my entire look together. White denim, stripes and neutral blazer is definitely my recipe for California comfort!
