With a few family trips under our belt, I am beginning to be well versed on all the baby needs and gear that works for travel. At least the stuff that works for us. Of all things (besides a diaper), I think a diaper bag is by far the most important. It houses all the baby necesitties, and I know I won’t survive a day out or trip without it.
With so many options, it was really hard to figure out the best brand or style of diaper bags that fits your needs. What I did know was that I do not want my diaper bag to look dated and frumpy. Lucikly, I recently discovered Pacapod bags, and they really know what fashionista moms want. It is pretty obvious in their design and innovative styles that they understand women want a diaper bag that is not only functional and practical, but also stylish and chic.
The Pacapod Firenze bag (shown here) is the only bag that I literally said “wow” the minute I set my eyes on it. Since I am a total handbag girl, those sentiments are usually reserved for the likes of Celine, Prada and Chanel. This gorgeous bag is everything I’m looking for in a stylish bag, and is the only diaper bag with an innovative 3-in-1 organization system. The front side fully opens to two “pods” – one carries all diaper changing necessities, and the other pod contains bottles and any feeding utensils. And a traditional top zipper opens to a larger compartment for everything else. So organized and amazing! No longer am I digging deep through clothes, bottles and snacks in my bag to find wipes. It is all in our designated areas.
I usually like a bag that is large enough to fit EVERYTHING because you really need to be prepared for anything with a toddler. Really, anything could happen, like blowouts or projectile vomiting, both of which has happened to us in the last two weeks or so! This risk of the unknown is even bigger when we’re traveling out of town, so I usually take extra precaution. Fortunately, this bag is big enough for everything I need but small enough that it doesn’t look like I’m moving. I also carry my wallet and a small makeup bag in it since I don’t usually carry another purse. This bag does double duty for baby and mama!
This style was my favorite, but I loved so many other styles, like this backpack version or this smaller messenger bag. Pacapod has definitely become one of my favorite baby brands. Their sophisticated style is perfect for the modern mom.
