Lucky Red

The color red is the considered the color of luck and fortune in Chinese culture.  Its bright, vibrant and exudes so much authority.  It is no wonder so many are automatically drawn to it.  I especially love the color in the Fall as it complements the rich tones of the season.  This outfit is my definition of a perfect Fall look – chunky sweater, a skirt in a warm hue and pumps.  All the classics wrapped up in one look!

Also, look how cute my necklace is.  With sweater weather surely (well, hopefully) coming soon, I love mixing the heavy textures and dainty pieces.  The contrast is unexpected and somehow the delicate pieces are still hard to miss.  I have been wearing this Gorjana necklace with so everything lately.  I have all her feminine pieces, especially for layering. The brand just opened a new store in Orange County (Laguna Beach) and it is so cute and chic.  Literally I wanted everything!
Speaking of luck and fortune,  I like to start each Monday by being grateful for all the fortune and blessings God has provided, far beyond what I deserve.  For a few weeks now, I have started my quiet time with making a mental list of a couple specific things I’m grateful for and earnestly thanking the Lord in prayer.  I believe it has really helped my mood and productivity during the week.  It is so easy to get bogged down with tasks and to-do list, all of which can cause so much stress and anxiety.  When I get stressed, sometimes it can paralyze me from doing anything at all.  Like I don’t know where to begin, so I just do nothing.  Nothing of importance that is.  Anyway, for me, actively being thankful for a new a week and all I have has helped my mood, ease any stress and given me a sense of peace. This peace also helps me focus on the morning things in my day/week/month.  At the bottom of this post, is also a new feature – my favorite bible verse.  Hope it speaks to you as it did me.
Have a great week!
