Happy 2015

Outfit Details:
Sequin Pants / White Blouse {also love this one} / Silver Necklace / Python Clutch {super old, similar here} / Metallic Pumps

Holidays are over but I can’t give up sequins just yet.  These French Connection pants though…love! Unlike most sequined pieces, these pants are super comfy.  It has some stretch to it, which is great for the extra holiday indulgence.  I might just wear them all year!
It’s another new year!  Time to reflect on the past year and make plans for the coming.  Next to Christmas, it’s my favorite time – the idea of new possibilities and a blank slate very much excites me.
2014 marked a year of great change for me, namely becoming a Mom.  So it goes without saying that my goals and resolutions are very different than years past.  For instance, one of my resolutions last year was no hangovers; have fun but not too much fun that I pay for it the next morning.  This year, binge partying is the farthest from my thoughts.  I might actually be addicted to sobriety. ha!  The thought of wine induced fatigue, dehydration and headaches is kinda repulsion.  I’m all for enjoying a fantastic glass of wine, but anything more just doesn’t appeal to me anymore.  Anywhoo, I digress.  Back to goals for 2015.  This year I want to be more focused…on family, on my passions {like blogging} and good habits.  I’ve laid out some specifics below.
Simplify – This seems to be a buzzword this year.  But it’s a good one.  I plan to simplify everything – my home {it definitely needs a good cleaning and purge}, my style {my closet is busting at the seams with stuff I don’t wear} and even my social environment.  Without so much “clutter”, I’ll be able to emphasize the really important things in life.
Try new things – This is more centered on blogging. Last year, my “new” thing was actually writing a blog.  And it ended up being something I actually rather enjoy, and a saving grace for my sanity while being home with a new baby. I appreciated an outlet where I can be creative, be inspired and focus on something besides the demanding “eat, sleep, poop” schedule of Baby J.  This year, I’d like to try going outside my comfort zone and explore content around food or local fashion events, more mommy stuff and building a community.  Basically make my posts more interesting!
Healthier Habits – I don’t think I have extremely bad habits.  I like to indulge like most people {dessert is my weakness} but I think I could definitely eat healthier, cook more at home and overall make better choices.  And I always like working out but it is harder these days with a little one.  So I have to be more dedicated if I want to just GET IT DONE!
Focus – Again, I’d like to spend more of my energy on what’s important in life: God, Family and cultivating a passion.  This means more date nights with the hubbs…it means more time in prayer and developing a ministry…and it definitely means saying no to happy hour so I can edit photos and write a blog post! 🙂

What are you goals for 2015?

XO, Lydia
