New York has been amazing so far! I’ve been here countless times over the years, mainly for business, and never had a chance to just enjoy the city. This time was different. Since we decided to come to NYC very last minute (booked our flight 6 days before we left!), we had no plans or agenda except to watch the broadway musical Shuffle Along. And it was rather nice! We woke up, walked around the neighborhood, grabbed coffee and just relied on our whims to guide our day. And of course stayed out wayyy too late. It is the city the never sleeps afterall. 🙂
Truly the best part of going to NYC during the summer is enjoying all the outdoor spaces. From parks, bars and splash pads (for kids), New Yorkers really take advantage of the season. One of my favorite outdoor area is Bryant Park. When booking our hotel, I sought out to be nearby. Centrally located (Mid Town) and behind the beautiful New York City Library, Bryant Park is charming and gorgeous with blooming flowers lining the lawn and sky scrapers above. It is a little oasis away for the concrete jungle but still oozes city vibes. It is hard to explain. You will just have to visit yourself to feel its magic. 🙂
As for the outfit, I wore this Yumi Kim Dress out to dinner on our first night. The fresh floral design is perfect for summer. Paired with the right accessories, it is great for day, night or even a wedding. Yumi Kim has great dresses for summer, all vibrant and versatile.
