Favorite Spring Trends

Each season I tried to pick out the key things I want/need to add to my wardrobe.  For Spring, I have a weakness for relaxed shapes and pastel hues, and not only because they are easy to wear for a busy mom.  These pieces are closet staples and can easily transition to Summer.  Here are a few of the things I will invest in this season…

1. Pastel Crossbody Bag – A compact bag will force us all to just carry just the necessities this season.  I know…we all like to be prepared for anything while out and about, but we don’t need to be traveling hoarders. Grab one in a color like petal pink or sky blue for a perfect Spring hue.

2. Retro Sunglasses – If our moms kept everything from the 60s, 70, and 80s, the vintage section of our closet would be insane.  If you are not so lucky, retro sunglasses like this Prada version will complement just about any of your Spring fling outfits.

3. Chambray Shirt Dress – Never underestimate the power of a classic shirtdress.  A chambray piece will take you from lunch date to playdate before anyone has a pre-nap meltdown. #MomLife

4. Floral prints – Nothing says Springtime then fresh blooms.  Same goes with your outfit…be it a dress, pants or shorts, its all in season {pun intended}!

5. Distressed Jeans – Everyone loves the effortless look of good denim.  Distressed goes one step above with its casual-cool California vibes.  I love a good white pair all the way through summer!

6. Wide Leg Trousers – The classic relaxed look works great for office sophistication to the happiest of hours after-work.

7. Lace-Up Sandals – I’m a girl who loves her heels.  The higher the heel, the better. But mobility becomes an issues, especially with a little one.  Flat sandals are a must now, especially as the weather gets warmer!  Choose a strappy pair around the ankles to add killer femininity and style.

What trends are you loving for Spring?
