Last weekend, the husband and I drove out to San Diego for a quick Valentine’s Day getaway. It was nice to recharge as individuals, and not think of the constant demands of #momlife or everyday life in general.
We decided to seize this rare weekend away and go to a nice dinner and go out on the town to do some dancing. It has been awhile since I’ve gotten dressed up to go out on a date, so I wanted to really glam it up, and that usually means paying extra attention to skin care.
The key to looking good and feeling good is achieving a youthful and radiant glow. For me, that starts with a bright and hydrated eye. With the help of Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Swirl, my eyes look more lively and awake, and ready to stay up past…umm 10 pm. Just maybe. ☺
I have actually been using the eye swirl and the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream for a few days before our big weekend away, and I have been impressed with the results. I brought it along with me since my skin gets especially dry in hotel rooms. And I have fully incorporated it in my skin care routine, using both products day and night. The micro-sculpting cream has hyaluronic acid which has great anti-aging benefits, and when applied thoroughly at night, it leaves my skin super hydrated and dewy when I wake up. In the mornings, I use both the eye swirl and the cream under my makeup.
Of course, the outfit is important too. I will probably go with a classic black dress with some fancy heels or something to add a little extra edge. Most of the time, I look for something or someone inspiring to give me some ideas. Recently, I discovered a girl boss to give me just the right kind of inspiration.
