I received compensation from Dr. Scholl’s® to write this post. All opinions are entirely my own.
It’s that time of year when fashion buzz happens around NYC and NYFW. I am attending this year and I couldn’t be more excited. Experiencing the energy of the city and the amazing fashion during this time of year has always been on my bucket list.
I am currently planning all the shows I want to attend, meetings, events, and, of course, all my looks! It’s slightly stressful ensuring I dress appropriately for every event and running through all the questions in my head… “is this dress ok for tbd show? Will I be too hot? Will I be too cold? Is this dress too short, too see-through, too ugly?” So many things! Champagne problems I guess, right?
Well I know the one thing I can worry less about is my feet. When I plan for a lot of walking in heels, I prep my shoes & feet in 2 ways: 1) maintenance and 2) support.
By maintenance, I mean I take my shoes to a local cobbler to check the soles, fix the heel tip, or whatever is needed. If I am going to be on my feet a lot, having a good foundation is key. I also check to see if I need to get them stretched a bit. Especially with walking, my feet get swollen and since I already have wider feet, I try to make sure I can fit in them no matter where my day takes me.
The most important step to my prepping for NYFW is support for feet from Dr. Scholl’s. Specifically, I swear by two products, the Stylish Step™ High Heel Relief and Stylish Step™ Ball Of Foot Cushions for High Heels. The High Heel Relief Insoles are seriously a Godsend. Designed to balance the weight on my feet, the gel cushion is arched and makes walking block to block easier and pain-free. Also, the insert is clear and slim, so doesn’t make shoes fit tighter and just looks sleeker. I actually often carry them in my bag in case my shoes start to bother me, even low heels.
The Stylish Step™ Ball Of Foot Cushions for High Heels are another one of my secret weapons to wearing heels longer. The ball of the foot is the most typical area of pain and discomfort, and these cushions help take some of that pressure off. They are discreet and stay in place. When my feet don’t slip and slide all over the place in my shoes, I find it helps in preventing blisters.
The best things about these two Dr. Scholl’s products are that they pair well with the highest and most stylish shoes so you don’t have to sacrifice chic for comfort.
These products and so many other great Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ products are available at your local Target in the footcare aisle near the pharmacy, so really…. comfort is also convenient to find! Right now Target is offering a Cartwheel promotion for Stylish Step™, find out more here.
What are your tips for staying comfortable? I would really love to hear them!
