Every year I seem to buy the same ole’ sweaters in black, tan and white. Just pieces that will keep me comfortable and warm during these mild winters. Lately though, I’ve been loving the criss-cross neckline trend. Its so funny how something to simple, and almost obvious, can add so much to a basic tee or sweater. I loved this Free People sweater because not only does it have the popular criss-cross detail, but the sleeves flare out a bit for a surprising effect of chic. It fits really well too. Form-fitting but not too snug.
I paired here with faux leather skirt for a more sophisticated, but edgy, office look. Sometimes dressing up like I’m going to the office or an important meeting will kick me into gear for a productive day. Since I only have a couple days to work, it’s important to make those days count. Of course, if I’m just writing or editing at home, fancy attire only lasts long enough for a coffee run before I’m back in stretchy pants.
