Bold Pieces for Work Wear

I never worked in an environment that was strict on business attire, so luckily I had the freedom to play around with fun pieces while still keeping the overall look classy and sophisticated. In the Fall and holiday season, it is especially nice to dress up a business casual look with bolder pieces to instant go from the office to office party.

I have always been a fan of exaggerated sleeve tops like this one from Banana Republic. It is such an easy way to elevate a simple look. Another bold piece for work is a {faux} leather skirt. The key is to find the perfect length and structure for your body. I love A-line midi leather skirts simply because they are more modest, but I think a wrap version is like the fun younger sister. Conservative enough for the office, and perfect for a holiday dinner or party.

I paired the two together here just because I feeling a bit edgier that day! 🙂 But these are pieces that will work great with everything in your closet.
