One of my goals this year for Jetting Jewels is to share more on mom life. When Jax as a newborn, he was a constant here. Its gotten more difficult to get him to cooperate with blogger life. ha! And sometimes I still struggle with how much of him I should share on such an open forum. While day to day is probably pretty boring, but I’ve learned some great things about being a mom, discovered some awesome gear, embraced toddlerhood with patience and a sense of humor, and so many other awesomeness that makes modern motherhood so great. So I’d love to share the wealth. Hope you guys will welcome more of this type of content in the mix.
My first mom/baby post of the year is about STUFF! Specially the best stuff we tried and tested in 2016 that I will gladly use frequently through 2017. There are so many options when it comes to toys, books, bath, feeding and learning essentials. Its hard to know what’s what. And to top it off, your child develops a personality of their own, with likes, dislikes and real opinions! So funny how that happens.
I am very fortunate to be able to try so many products for this blog. Everything you see below we actually used with Jaxson and includes my list of things that has made mom life easier and Little J a happy camper.
Baby Jogger’s City Tour Stroller (in photo above) – I don’t leave the house without this stroller anymore, and definitely not out of the state. It is definitely the most travel friendly stroller I’ve seen thus far. It is light, durable, and it folds SO SMALL you can actually wear it as a compact backpack. By looking at it, you would never be able to tell that it folds better than an umbrella stroller. We took it to Europe a couple months ago and it was a lifesaver. Definitely a family travel must have!
Step2 Spill & Splash Seaway Water Table – This was such a good easy outdoor activity. It occupied Little J for a decent chunk of time (longer than most toys) with multiple activities all in one little setup. It was great for developing motor skills!
VTech Write and Learn Creative Center – I remember these magnetic boards when I was little. Jaxson is obsessed with it. He tells use to “draw Mickey now” all day everyday!
Mega Bloks First Builders Set – Who doesn’t love lego blocks. This is a great toy for developing creativity and parents can play as well.
Protective Foam iPad Case – Let’s just say his iPad would be destroyed on the first day if without this amazing case.
LilGadgets Connect+ Headphones – The best kids headset on the market (in my opinion). It was great on the plane for him to watch videos.
Mickey Mouse Play A Sound Set – Kids these days will always prefer electronic things, but I love these because it combines the integrity of a classic paper book and electronic sound that is intriguing.
ZoLi Snip Ceramic Scissor – I loathe having to cut Jaxson’s food with a spoon or dull knife. It is so much easier to cut his meal into little bit. He eats entirely on his own so I don’t have to worry about chocking hazards during lunch.
