One of my favorite things to do with the family on Sunday evenings is head to the beach to watch the sunset. It’s been such a treat and relaxing way to end our (usually) busy weekends, and get our heads straight for the week ahead. And Little J loves it because he just loves the sand. We rarely go to the beach to make a day of it, so I think he is still little unsure of what it is. But at least he’s passed the stage of eating handfuls of it.
Last Sunday, we found a quite little secret spot in Newport Beach. Seemed like we had the whole coast to ourselves. We shot a few pictures of this look in the most gorgeous light, and then suddenly the clouds rolled in and it was overcast! We didn’t actually get to see the sun set, but it was relaxing just the same.
This tapestry printed maxi skirt from Express is currently my favorite for the beach. I actually wore it earlier in the week at a fun girls day in Laguna Beach (see it on my Instagram here). The water colors and the flowy nature just screams like sweet summer days at the ocean. I paired it with just a basic chambray shirt to emphasize beachy hues. And it was easy to throw with my bathing suit. If the warm weather continues, I might wearing this ensemble again next week! Hope so!
Hope you’re all having a great week so far!
