I’ve been meaning to share photos from our Croatia photo session. And since everyone is still in Valentine’s Day after glow, this is perfect timing to share more of me and my valentine {too cheesy, I know!}.
I feel truly blessed to have seen a good portion of the world. When John and I got married, we set out to travel as frequently as possible before kids. I’m so glad we did. It’s through seeing the world together, that I think we’ve developed a strong relationship but also a good sense of individuality. There is nothing like sharing experiences such as hot-air ballooning over Capadoccia, climbing to the highest point in Petra {Jordan} or simply a romantic dinner at the Eiffel Tower. So when we decided on a Europe babymoon, I knew I wanted to commemorate our last trip as a twosome with a fun photoshoot. We also bucketed this under Anniversary and {early} maternity shoot – I was only 22/23 weeks!
I asked Google and searched various blogs for good photographer in Croatia and landed on Marko of M Weddings. His work in has been featured in various American blogs like Style Me Pretty so I knew he was good. And he was also available during the 2 day window of our trip. So we were sold! His style is edgy, yet romantic; and and he was rather adventurous in location scouting, wanting to go beyond the touristy locales, and instead venturing off to the most remote part of Hvar Island, where the backdrop looked like scenes from a movie and the water was almost too turquoise blue. Just spending a few minutes with him, I knew I had chosen the perfect photographer. The only bummer with my limited mobility being like 5 and half months pregnant. I was already pushing it climbing up some rocks and hiking a short distance to get to this remote beach. But it worked out well and we came away with some great memories for sure!
