Bow Tie & Buttons

Well I have been trying to avoid this….the winter flu!  But I think it has hit us. Jaxson has been achy and snotty all day, and he woke up from his nap with a light fever.  I hate seeing him sick.  He gets all cranky, looses weight and its just sad to see him not his normal self.  Please pray this flu passes quickly.

I wore this look a couple weeks ago to meetings, and if I’m going anywhere related to work, I almost always reach for these 3 pieces: a button up shirt, a skirt and jacket.  A good bow tie top is one of my favorite trends lately.  It is masculine, feminine and ultra polished.  This white Tularosa top is actually a dress that I tucked in.  I thought it looked better as a shirt because it was so short, so I improvised.

I have countless black blazers from my days in the corporate world, so I appreciate a fresh take on the classic piece when I see one.  This Bailey 44 blazer has an asymmetric button-front closure and slightly longer and flared back.  And best part….the stretch material is almost comfortable as a yoga jacket.

I love the scalloped detail of your dress and skirt. I love taking a dress and tucking it in for a new look too. You look great. I hope everyone recovers from the flu soon. 🙁 Sounds rough.
