Whoa. A two-post kind of Monday! Go me!
Just a quick update on my Sunday and my love for this little green dress from Banana Republic.
As I mentioned earlier {see here}, Baby Jax was caught a mild cold this weekend…probably from the pool party we went to on Friday! He loves the water and didn’t want to get out even though he had skipped a nap and was soooo sleepy! Man, his sleep schedule is so messed up right now after the weekend away for the wedding and constantly being out and about. Poor kid.
Anyway, our 4th of July was rather uneventful but we did venture out of the house for church. If you’ve ever been to Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, you know the grounds are very pretty and well manicured. Lots of grass areas for kids and families to run around. So I felt like I wore the perfect dress to match the setting and occasion. What I love most are the v-neckline and the shirred skirt…its definitely more flattering on my body type. The jersey material is super soft and comfortable for casual days, and doesn’t stretch out from all the pulls and tugs of little baby hands. Its hard to wear anything “nice” these days, which is why I’m always trying to find chic mom-appropriate dresses – its definitely hard to find, so when you do, I buy it every color {this dress comes in navy and grey too!}. But here comes the best part… I threw on heels for dinner and it became a stylish nighttime look. As moms, we try to do it all, and when time just doesn’t allow, at least we need dresses that can!
As for Baby J’s outfit, I am obsessed with his cargo jacket from Baby Gap. And I dont think I have to explain my obsession with hats on babies. I mean, a baby fedora!! LOVE!!

Hope you all had a great weekend.
