Casual Comfort

My calendar starts rapidly filling up in May and into the summer. Naturally the warmer temps and longer days makes people just want to be out. BBQs, birthday parties, shower and brunches are some of my favorite things about the season.

For more casual events, I am all about comfort…especially on my feet. These mule sandals by Toms are currently my favorite mules. It has a little chunky heel, which is perfect to pair with midi length dresses. I was actually surprised how much I love the look and feel of these shoes. The classic flats come to mind when I think of TOMS shoes, but I am definitely loving all the Spring sandals and wedges lately. I love the look of a neutral shoe with dusty pinks. Its soft, feminine and has all the makings of effortless ensemble. I throw a denim jacket over everything because you never when the chill might come in (the weather has been so unpredictable lately), and love the slightly cropped fit so it doesn’t overpower my dress or shape. It’s a great piece to throw on over the shoulder or even around my waist. Along with my sandals, it dresses down my dress perfectly for a casual weekend afternoon.
